We have some excellent new publicity out about Rock Springs Guest Ranch, and Heather as head wrangler, too.
Last summer Ruby Wax stayed at Rock Springs for a week of dude ranching. She wrote about her experience here in an article which also included Seattle and Vancouver in the London Sunday Mail - (see it at http://www.travelmail.co.uk/travel/Canada/Vancouver/Eat-your-heart-out--Bill-Bryson.html?article_id=27185 . Ruby may not be well known here in the US, but although she is American, she is a very well known personality in the UK. She was a lot of fun as a guest, very quick and witty.
Last summer we also had a crew from a TV station in Eugene come do a piece about Heather and our wranglers. They've just put it online at http://www.brightcove.com/title.jsp?title=979556287.
We just had some former guests stop by, Julie and Corby Thompson, a couple who stayed with us for about three summers in the late 90s and early 2000s. It was great to catch up with them- a few of the people they were here with back then will be arriving on Saturday. I love that the connection with these people always stays.
Some of our daughter Marlie's good buddies who are guests are here this week- twins from Massachusets - the sleepovers started on the first night. My girls have a few friends they have really connected with here at the ranch- people they look forward to seeing from year to year. I love that they meet people from so many different places, with different backgrounds and ideas. I love, too, that they are able to find common ground with so many of them.
